This position works under the supervision of the CQM Scientific Studies Manager and will be responsible for the collection of Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) – like data from VA CCN providers. This position will be responsible for requesting and entry of HEDIS-like data into an internal database and assure data quality. Responsibilities include the collection of provider performance data (e.g., HEDIS, Hospital Compare and other internal/external data sources) running reports and conducting data analysis to review and monitor provider performance. Assists the CQM studies team with conducting quality studies and quality improvement projects, provide support to the patient safety team as needed, assist with developing new comprehensive reporting needs for the studies team as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Data entry of received quality and performance outcome provider template results
  • Sending follow up provider requests as appropriate
  • Create comprehensive reporting specification requirements from HEDIS, Hospital Compare and other data sources
  • Perform data analysis, Collaborate with other CQM, fulfillment, staff, and other stakeholders regarding High Performing Providers/Centers of Excellence
  • Maintains confidentiality and non-discoverability of all activities
  • Collaborates with the studies team to review and monitor providers to improve the delivery of clinical quality health care
  • Contributes to the creating, reviewing, and revising of high performing provider database
  • Assists with clinical quality studies including entry of data, reporting and monitoring
  • Works with provider quality and performance review, monitoring, and improvement activities
  • Analysis of dashboards, data visualizations, and decisions aids to support the department
  • Assist in the development of VA CCN Patient Safety Initiatives
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree OR 2+ years of healthcare experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Healthcare Quality Management related data entry
  • 2+ years of computer experience with emphasis on Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Reliable internet service with download speeds of 25Mbps or faster and minimum upload speed of 3Mbps

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with research methodology, HEDIS measures, benchmarking
  • Intermediate data analytics skills with the ability to generate, analyze, synthesize, and organize quality data in appropriate reporting format
  • 6+ months of experience leading teams

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $21.68 to $38.56. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $23.94 to $42.40.
