Are you organized, reliable and mindful of important details? Can you complete data entry tasks quickly and accurately? If you answered yes, then you could be successful in this position. An exciting Professional Services company is looking for a Data Entry Clerk to grow with their team. As the Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and finance support functions, especially correctly entering large volumes of data into Microsoft Excel and ERP systems and databases. This Data Entry Clerk role is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity and is based in Westport, Connecticut.Major responsibilities
- Assisting with special projects as required
- Maintaining data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
- Processing customer and account source documents by reviewing information and identifying issues
- Continuing operations in accordance with policies and procedures; communicating needed changes
- Providing support for data entry and additional administrative tasks
- Preparing data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities
- Working with highly confidential materials
- Less than one year of experience is acceptable
- Experience with higher level functionality in Microsoft Excel
- Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
- Comprehensive knowledge of Excel Formulas
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites
- Data entry experience required
- Strong communication and social skills
- Data entry speed over 8,000 keystrokes per hour with 100% accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
