Summary:
Milan Laser Hair Removal is looking for a skilled Data Architect. This individual must have extensive hands-on data warehouse, ETL/ELT and data modeling experience. The Data Architect is responsible for designing, building, testing and supporting the Enterprise Data Warehouse data cloud.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate the current data architecture to keep databases secure
Translate business requirements to build Snowflake Enterprise Data Warehouse
Drive procedures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility
Maintain code repositories and code review of ETL/ELT jobs in GitHub
Create and implement data management processes and procedures
Build data pipelines through Webhooks or APIs to bring together information from different source systems
Develop application programming interfaces (APIs) to retrieve data
Create visual layouts to display data
Build data pipelines to bring together information from different source systems
Integrate, consolidate, cleanse data and structure it for use in analytics applications following industry best practices
Effectively work with project manager, business users and other team members
Proactively maintain service desk tickets with progress updates, documentation and communication within Service Level Agreements
Lead data efforts from a technical aspect providing solutions to handle data issues
Perform impact data analysis and data profiling on source data systems and determine the best way to model data
Perform code reviews, troubleshoot problems independently and/or collaboratively
Understand complex logic and solve data issues by coming up with sound solutions
Produce thorough technical design documents, test plans and documented results
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field or related technical certification or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Ten (10) years in IT or a combination of IT and Finance/Accounting
Preferred Qualifications:
SQL: 10 years (Required)
Data Warehouse: 7 years (Preferred)
Matillion: 2 years (Preferred)
Python or other scripting language: 5 years (Preferred)
SDLC: 7 years (Preferred)
Snowflake or Databricks experience (Preferred)
Amazon Redshift or Google Big Query (Desired)
Machine Learning (Desired)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of Data Modeling best practices like Kimball Methodology
Data mining to uncover patterns, anomalies, and correlations in large data sets
Data management to efficiently and cost-effectively collect, store, and use data
Coding languages like Python and Java to develop applications for data analysis
Machine learning to build scalable systems for handling big data
Structured query language (SQL) to manipulate data
Understanding in working in an Agile/Scrum Project Development environment
Collaborative, team-first mentality with the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical users, and team members
Communicate solid written and verbal and interpersonal communication skills
