Data Analyst

Job Summary:

The Data Analyst’s focus is on the storage, migration, and accessibility of data for business use and clients. The Data Analyst develops standardized routine reports using Power BI and/or SQL with the use of Python or similar tools to automate processes including bulk importing of data and manipulation of big data. They are also capable of understanding the business and how the technology plays a role in the company’s operations, growth, and future. We are looking to hire 3 candidates for this position with varying areas of expertise.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Standardize routine reports using Power BI and/or SQL
• Develop reports in Power BI and/or Excel
• Assist in the mapping of historical data into a new data structure
• Use Python or similar tools to automate processes, also bulk importing data
• Manage client access to data via RLS code and Power BI apps with little direction
• Develop ETL processes and/or datalakes to support the reporting process
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as needed
• Prepare clear and concise documentation of all work performed
• MUST be a self-starter and eager to learn
• Follow established processes and recommend improvements
• Other duties will be at the discretion of management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• SQL, PostgreSQL, Data modeling (Power BI or similar experience), and Python experience
• Passionate individual with advanced report building knowledge.
• Willingness to take accountability and initiative
• Excellent computer skills including Strong Excel
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a complex, dynamic environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology Management, Data Science or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Experience building internal relationships and working across a highly matrixed organization.
• Experienced in building technical solutions to business problems.
