Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking a Cycle Counter for our Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit, focused on the Distribution Systems Product portfolio. Headquartered in Wendell, NC, the EA Business Unit has a diverse portfolio of products including but not limited to electric-vehicle chargers, low voltage MCC, CMR fuse saver, MV switchgear, MV circuit breakers, and metering, power monitoring, power quality, and protective relay maintenance and systems of a standard nature.

Overview:

The Cycle Counter position is responsible for counting, auditing counted material, analyzes discrepancies, correct errors, documents issues, and report findings in order to maintain accuracy of inventory. Responsible for entering data into computer systems. Communication and problem solving of discrepancies in processes, parts, and/or equipment operation is needed to continuously improve operations.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operates a stand-up reach truck, stand-up order picker, and sit-down forklift in high traffic areas and narrow aisles
• Plan, organize, and coordinate parts and locations to be audited.
• Analyze and problem solve inventory discrepancies to provide root cause and initiate appropriate corrective action process
• Reconcile inventory records following established procedures
• Maintain statistical data and communicate findings
• Applies knowledge of storeroom/warehouse operations and procedures for continuous improvement
• Reads and interprets documents for accuracy and communicates discrepancies to appropriate personnel
• Will perform floater/back up duties for employees on vacation and etc

Requirements: knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Must be a strong team player
• Must have the ability to work independently with little guidance
• Must be able to perform job duties safely with a sense of urgency
• Must have great attention to detail while working to a deadline
• Able to stand and walk as needed for entire shift
• 3+ years’ experience in warehouse environment and inventory control processes
• 3+ years’ experience driving a forklift
• Conform with Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policy and Management System and strive to continual improve the intended outcomes of the Management System.
