Job description

Summary
Greystone Technology is looking for creative, self-accountable IT professionals to engage in our fast-paced, people-driven service model. Average IT people tend to be great at solving technical issues, but poor at understanding the true problems that need to be solved.
We’ve redesigned the way technology services are provided – from the ground up. We don’t start with solutions; we start with questions. Lots of them. Then we listen. Service providers have a well-earned reputation for sharing the answer before knowing the problem, resulting in businesses getting solutions they don’t need to problems they don’t have.
If you think differently, solve creatively, and love to connect with people, we want you to join our mission of digging deep and proving how meaningful IT services can be. It’s as common sense as it is revolutionary.

We are looking for a Security Advisor to join our team. The Security Advisor is responsible for the deployment of our standard security stack, participating in pre-sales activities, including scoping meetings to understand client requirements, providing consultative advice to internal teams, and participating in proposal reviews and client sales presentations. This role can be located in one of our three Colorado offices (Boulder, Denver, or Fort Collins).
Primary Responsibilities

  • Interface with Greystone Technology clients and internal service and project departments and consult with key stakeholders regarding information system vulnerabilities and how to remediate them in an understandable and educational format.
  • Monitor security-related network performance and perform testing to provide a diagnosis of issues and to assist with the deployment of solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits, ensuring up to date patching for all products within the security stack.
  • Work with Greystone Technology Leadership to ensure the proper balance between enabling and securing, in relation to the client's organization, culture and ecosystem.
  • Manage vendor relationship

Skills & Experience

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex topics to technical and nontechnical audiences required.
  • Significant experience in client-facing technical roles, selling solutions to business leaders and technical champions
  • Basic knowledge of Endpoint Detection and Response systems (EDR), SIEM solutions and their appropriate use, and an understanding of cloud platforms like Microsoft’s Office 365/Azure or Amazon Web Services, preferred.
  • Experience writing logical, detailed, complete work product requirements and functional specifications
  • Must possess strong organizational project planning skills to be in a position to lead the technical qualification, first client presentations, high-quality demonstrations, and competitive pre-sales efforts
  • Must be able to influence without authority, innovate to tackle tough problems, and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to thrive in a supportive, result-oriented community and are committed to the relentless pursuit of continuous growth
  • MSP/MSSP experience is a plus
