Cutting Department personnel

We are seeking an individual for our Cutting Department. This position involves reading job specification sheets and cutting the materials needed for each job. Good basic math skills and the ability to read a ruler are required, as well as a mechanical aptitude. The math skills required include adding and multiplying fractions, and converting fractions to decimals.

The successful candidate will be fluent in English, {speaking, reading, and understanding}, possess and be able to demonstrate the above described math skills, be detail and quality oriented, be able to lift 50 lbs., be able and willing to work a 40 hour week, and have reliable transportation. Training will be provided in the specific requirements of the job. Successful completion of High school or equivalent required. Forklift training certification is a plus but not necessary.

Job requirements:

Identify and retrieve from warehouse all materials necessary for each job.

Read specification sheets and calculate the necessary linear yards and or sheets required for each component.

Calculate the best cut yields and overall net yardage or sheets required per job.

Operate both hand cutting and heavy machine cutting in a safe and efficient manner.

Count and properly label each component within each job, and deliver to the next department as directed by production supervisor.

Follow all company policies and procedures

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of equipment and workspace as necessary or as directed by management

Pay: $31,200.00 - $39,000.00 per year
