Job description

The Curriculum Manager-allied health is responsible for the innovation, development; implementation and assessment of allied health academic programs in support the Career College’s strategic plan and in accordance with policies. The curriculum manager oversees the instructional engineering process; curriculum mapping, course development, and pedagogical methods to support learners’ successful attainment of course/program outcomes for graduation and career entry/mobility. The Curriculum Manager is an internal consultant to the campuses and online education for integrating digital technologies and alternative instructional approaches to follow the rigor standards framework, to engage and foster students’ development in lifelong learning competencies common to the BSC educational experience.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS

1. Manages the comprehensive curriculum development and review process to ensure contributors deliver appropriately rigorous curriculum to fulfill career, academic, digital, and College specific standards.

2. Ensures allied health programs follow academic convention relative to the establishment and achievement of end of program student learning outcomes and successful certification rates, using objective data to modify curriculum and assessments as indicated.

3. Work collaboratively and professionally with program directors, faculty, and administration to assure understanding of regulatory requirements and complete new/revised program applications, annual reports and additional documentation as required by State and regulatory agencies. Assist in site-visit preparation as needed.

4. Assures accurate and consistent programmatic procedures, notifications, and disclosures.

5. Adhere to, uphold, and comply with all established operational policies and procedures as described in operating documentation (Official Catalog and Associate Guide).

Education

Master’s Degree Nursing or Allied Health Field

Doctoral degree preferred

Experience

2 years working in the medical field

2 years working in higher education

Experience training and mentoring nursing faculty in higher education


Project management experience

Other

Demonstrated oral and written communication skills

Ability to work independently

Ability to work as a team player
