We are seeking a COVID CLINIC ASSISTANT in Rhinelander, WI at our Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital. Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Covid Clinic Assistant performs the manual, technical and clerical tasks involved with the proper collection, labeling, processing and distribution of biological specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages to fill a temporary clinic need due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The role has three main subcategories to include Specimen Collector, Documenter and Lab Runner. This individual will also assist in other duties as defined such as: daily scanning, registering patients, answering phone calls, calling patients to report labs, and other clerical duties.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of medical office standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous healthcare experience beneficial.
- Valid State of Wisconsin Drivers’ License
HOURS: Full-time. 1.0 FTE, 80 hours per pay period, 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, Weekend shifts. This is a temporary position, therefore not benefit eligible.
