A client-centric, and highly collaborative insights agency is looking for an enthusiastic Learning & Development Specialist to build and oversee a comprehensive learning and development program that supports organizational goals and priorities. This will be accomplished through a combination of program management, facilitation, and partnering closely with others. To be successful in this role, partnering closely with the Head of P&C, CMB Leadership, and talent managers to establish priorities and set expectations is a must. Additionally, working with others within the ITA Group family of companies will be critical to maximizing those partnerships. This position reports to CMB’s People & Culture Team Lead (based in Boston).

Responsibilities and Expectations

Essential Duties

  • Build and oversee long-term and multi-level learning strategies with Senior Leaders and P&C Partners, in support of business goals and future business strategy
  • Serve as the key learning support partner for talent managers across all functional areas and identify learning opportunities to solve performance gaps
  • Use employee performance review data to identify and make recommendations for closing systemic performance gaps
  • Responsible for all CMB corporate level L&D activities
    • Develop, schedule, and, as needed, facilitate:
      • CMB’s Leadership Training Program
      • CMB’s Management Training Program for both new and existing managers
      • DEI Training Program
      • 360-degree review process training workshop
      • CMB’s ESOP Orientation in partnership with CMB’s ESOP Marking Communications Committee Representative
    • Serve as the point person for external L&D opportunities, consulting with managers on external opportunities and/or partnerships
    • Serve as the point person for partnering with the ITA Group Family of Companies on L&D activity
    • Oversee CMBUniversity and CMB Connect programs with support from volunteer coordinators
    • Serve as the learning portal administrator (LMS) and optimize use of the portal
  • Responsible for tracking CMB’s total investment and measuring efficacy of L&D investments
  • Oversee CMB’s onboarding program
  • Develop, lead, and refine CMB’s Insights Internship program
  • Development and oversight of corporate-wide mentorship program


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related area, such as human resources, communications, or adult education
  • 4+ years of learning and development experience, preferably within a professional services organization – market research industry experience is a plus
  • PHR/SHRM certification a plus
  • Previous experience maintaining a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Certification in Predictive Index (PI) preferred
  • Impactful and engaging presentation and facilitation style
  • Instructional Design experience a plus
  • Familiarity and comfort with virtual meeting and presentation platforms (e.g., WebEx, Zoom, MS Teams)
  • Self-motivated problem-solver, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to positively and professionally interact with, and develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of an organization and companies that reflect a broad range of experiences and perspectives
  • Well-organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and training facilitation experience
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast paced environment and is results oriented
  • Experience in a cooperative and collaborative decision-making environment
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Follow through and responsiveness are a must
  • Excellent computer knowledge/skills including Microsoft Office

Travel

  • Minimal, if local to Greater Boston area
  • Remote team members will be expected to travel to Boston 4-6 times per year.
