We are looking for an energetic employee to lead the financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate will have extensive management and practical experience in accounting. This position requires flexibility and credibility; we need a hard-working person who is comfortable getting their feet wet and wearing multiple hats. The Controller will be providing the Senior Management Team with financial reports, cost analysis data, and meaningful recommendations, with commentary. This candidate will have a can-do attitude with a problem solving mind. It will be their job to prepare financial statements that are timely and accurate.

Job Requirements:

Required:

 Bachelor’s degree or ten years related experience and training 

Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting packages is required

 Excellent team spirit interpersonal and communication skills

 Superb organizational and time management skills

 Expected to have latitude and creativity

 Possess good judgment and planning skills

 Supervisory experience and proven Leadership skills

 Prefer Experience with Manufacturing or Building Materials

 Syspro ERP Software Experience would be a Plus

 Practical training or experience in a CPA firm is beneficial

 CPA or CMA Professional certification desired


Job Duties:

 Prepare reports which summarize company business activity and financial positions in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.

 Directs preparations of budgets and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justifications.

 Provides management with timely review of the organization’s financial status and progress in its various programs.

 Evaluates Commission and Bonus programs.

 Provides direction for recording capital assets and depreciation rates.

 Prepares reports and updates licensing as required by regulatory agencies.

 Responsible for Purchasing and inventory control processes.

 Manages Accounting, Inventory, and Credit departments

 Works with Human Resources on management training programs

 Reviews inventory levels and recommends reasonable levels

 Responsible for Annual Federal & State tax reporting 

Responsible for co-ordination of Annual Reviewed Financial Statements

 Provides guidance and training for existing staff

 Provides input for IT process improvements
