American Business Machines is a fast-growing technology company with a century of experience in business. ABM is looking for a temporary Facilities Account Support to help cover while an employee is home recovering from surgery.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:45am - 6:15pm, w/ 30 minute lunch

Training: The employee you will be covering for will train you prior to her surgery. We will also have employees for another account come to assist you during your time at this account.

DEPARTMENT, TEAM AND/OR POSITION OBJECTIVE

As the Facilities Account Support, your primary focus is to provide on-site assistance to your assigned customer. Clients that require an on-site Facilities Account Support person are prestigious, high priority accounts that often include a fast paced, deadline-driven environment. To be successful in this role, the Facilities Account Support member must be reliability, demonstrate strong attention to detail, as well as, he or she must be a team player and interact with clients in a professional manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist account customer on-site in their printing needs:
  • Read work orders, confirm materials and prepare jobs according to the customer’s specifications.
  • Properly operate print production copiers;
  • Properly operate computer programs/ software;
  • Complete print jobs by deadline;
  • Inspect product throughout process to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Communicate any concerns or delays with appropriate personnel.
  • Jobs types may include printing, copying, scanning, cutting, folding and 19-hole punching, comb or tape binding documents, making Notepads or NCR forms.
  • Maintain a clean work area throughout the day.
  • Perform preventative maintenance that does not require an ABM Technician.
  • Ensure paper is loaded in trays correctly and clean glass on copier.
  • Communicating effectively with customer staff to identify problems and take appropriate action.
  • Place service calls to our Company Technical Support team when copiers need attention.
  • Communicate issues with our Service Technicians by describing what the copier is or isn’t performing. Communicate with customer staff on Technicians estimated time of arrival.
  • Regularly perform inventory counts to ensure supplies is ordered, shipped and delivered in a timely fashion.
  • Request supplies as necessary; ensure supplies orders are delivered and billed to the correct parties.
  • Ship used toner back to Canon via Canon Recycling (labels available through Canon Recycling Website).
  • Ensure all customer departments have paper stocked:
  • Delivered via Kelly Paper (Maintenance, Parks and Recreation, SAVES etc.).
  • Delivered by Facilities Account Support using appropriate lifting resources- hand cart.
  • Customer staff will arrange to personally pick up from the Copy Center, must ensure paper box is lifted/ transported safety (regular paper box is 55-60lbs).
  • Communicate with our internal staff when there is a problem with the account either by contacting Support (IE problem with Uniflow) or Contacting the Sales Rep.
  • Act as a liaison between our Company and the customer; providing updates/ status on repairs and software resolutions. Communicating with the accounts assigned Sales Rep on any issues they need to be aware of they can communicate directly with the customer.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF ROLE:

  • Communicate changes and delays to the appropriate customer manager and/or staff member.
  • Communicate any issues or concerns pertaining to the account with the appropriate internal authority.
  • Monitor material inventories to lessen waste and control costs.
  • Follow established quality standards to ensure orders are correct and on time.
  • Track jobs through customers internal tracking systems.
  • Clean work area and properly store tools, materials, etc. at the end of each workday.
  • Work cooperatively with customer management, customer staff and other departments to ensure efficient order completions to meet deadlines.
  • Open, read, and respond to all company emails daily.
  • Follow all safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures and work orders.
  • Maintain and clean work area, equipment, and company issued tools.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
  • Must be able to maintain alertness for extended periods of time.
  • Must have the physical and mental capacity to effectively perform all essential functions described.
  • Must be able to consistently lift, bend, push, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
