• Build relationship, educate donors on CCL and generate funds– includes major gift solicitation, planned giving strategies, multi-year giving and match gifts
• Research, initiate, and cultivate relationships with corporations, civic groups and individual donors around the Archdiocese
• Present agency/program needs to solicit involvement; strategize engagement and renewal

• Manage budgets and track progress
• Update, track and maintain interactions and portfolios within donor database
• Enhance relationships with quarterly touches: updates, photos, thank you’s, calls, meetings, stories related to corporate/donor interests, etc.

• Assess and strategize donor stewardship to communicate accordingly
• Solicit event sponsorships for:
• Annual major agency fundraiser Rouler, procuring $100,000+ (plus event involvement for silent auction and guest invites)

Preferred practicing Catholic. This position requires strong communication skills and friendly personality, must be comfortable asking for donations large and small. Reliable transportation to travel within metro Louisville and surrounding counties. Rare, but occasional evening/weekend work is required. Should be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook and databases. Must be able to communicate well verbally and in handwritten form with colleagues, superiors, clients, and community personnel. Must be able to manage competing demands and use time effectively. Must work well with limited supervision and be able to solve problems independently and quickly. Must be a self-starter and able to build programs from scratch with little guidance.

The Community and Donor Relations Coordinator is an essential component of the Development team, with primary responsibility for engaging corporations, civic groups, donors of all sizes and other entities within the community in relationships that advance the mission of Catholic Charities. This position initiates and nurtures ongoing relationships with donors and corporations to secure budgeted funds. Secures guests and major sponsorships for our annual fundraiser, Rouler, to meet goals ($125,000+). Create strategy and meet with donors around multi-year giving, planned giving and major gifts. Plans small donor events throughout the year

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum of three years’ experience working with donor relations and corporate giving. Major gifts and planned giving experience a plus. Able to create, manage and meet budgets expectations and goals.

Salary: $55,000-$60,000
