Camp Verde General Store and Restaurant in Camp Verde, Texas, is a beautiful general store known for its rich history and charming location in the Texas Hill Country. Our team enjoys a motivating, friendly and energetic environment. We are currently seeking a full-time Cook to join our team. Candidates should be able to foster a positive work environment, take initiative and possess a willingness to learn. An excellent benefit package is available to full-time staff. EOE

Responsibilities

• Execute basic food preparation and Mise en place
• Expedite orders and operate grill station
• Support consistent food quality and presentation
• Maintain proper sanitation and food safety standards
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Follow all company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal employment laws

Requirements

• At least 1 year of kitchen experience preferred
• Current Texas Food Handler or Food Manager certification
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment including food slicer, food scale and panini grill
• Ability to multi-task and stand for long periods of time
• Proficient in basic knife skills
• Committed to reliable attendance
• Capacity to take directions and work with others
• Ability to safely lift 25 lbs. while maneuvering throughout the work area and stockroom
• Clear and concise communication skills
