**Position Summary**

This is a high-energy, leadership position that requires a passion for Continuous Improvement and the ability to drive change. The primary purpose of this role is to lead and facilitate continuous improvement in all of the facilities' core processes including Materials, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Maintenance. This is done through the utilization of lean manufacturing principles, time studies, and the application of other continuous improvement tools and methodologies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establish and develop systems that reinforce and encourage data-based decisions to drive value stream enhancement and continuous improvement. Work across the organization to ensure consistent approach, format, data integrity, and decision processes are deployed and in use throughout the facility.
  • Develop and implement through direct team leadership, continuous improvement initiatives resulting in productivity improvements through the deployment of methodologies such as SMED, POKE-A-YOKE, KAN BAN, KAIZEN, PULL SYSTEM, and others as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with key process owners across the organization to plan, lead and implement strategic business improvement processes, policies and procedures.
  • Lead and own the “One Plan” to drive cost-savings opportunities throughout the business
  • Create/measure/maintain lean processes for production and link them to employees' everyday work to drive and improve company KPIs – SQDCP (Safety, Quality Delivery, Cost, and Productivity)
  • Coordinate with both IMI Farmington and IMI HQ Continuous Improvement representatives.
  • Work with executives and corporate staff in the development of strategic plans to further the performance of the business through the utilization of Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Act as a champion and leader in the development, implementation, and sustaining of various continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Act as a change agent to develop and coach people – collaborate with all levels, from front-line to management, to increase maturity and understanding of Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and facilitate improved relationships that encourage increased participation in the overall business improvement process.
  • Provide weekly reports and conduct periodic presentations to all lMI Farmington levels of management.
  • Actively develop current state Value Stream Maps and work with staff to develop and implement future state Value Stream Maps that address and reduce the 7 wastes.
  • Follow all safety guidelines including utilization of proper PPE.
  • Keep work area clean and organized to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
  • Lead problem-solving activities in manufacturing operations to quickly identify and permanently resolve quality and productivity issues utilizing 3Cs, A3s, 8Ds, etc.
  • Actively participates in the site senior leadership team to implement best practices, compliance initiatives, auditing systems, and risk mitigation plans to meet the strategy and vision for the site.
  • Perform audits related to the Quality Management System, design, and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrate positive relations, leadership, and teamwork as established in the IMI Way within the organization.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Expertise required

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and ten plus years of combined continuous improvement implementation and leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with coordinating and facilitating successful continuous improvement teams.
  • Well-versed in the theory of constraints and Lean/6- Sigma manufacturing techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex situations and collect data to establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Computers and Technology

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and ten plus years of combined continuous improvement implementation and leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with coordinating and facilitating successful continuous improvement teams.
  • Well-versed in the theory of constraints and Lean/6- Sigma manufacturing techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex situations and collect data to establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
