About the role
Reporting to: Continuous Improvement Manager

This position is responsible for improving the daily operations through the use of digital technology. The role will work across functions to lead the local implementations and support of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES)


Key responsibilities include:
  • Act as a true coach linking the operators and the line management team while creating a data driven culture in line with the CI strategy.
  • Increase the MES capabilities of all operational stakeholders by on the job training, from operator through department manager.
  • Support the daily routines by explaining the operating standards including the “why” and you identify improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze the available data and keep track of the MES business impact (financial, A & P; non-financial). Work closely with the process engineering team and the digital team and where you aim for the perfect balance between technology, processes and people.
  • Update and validate MES system
  • Train new and existing users
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to gather requirements, scope and business rationale for MES related projects
  • Propose and resolve issues through troubleshooting, workflows, reports and system maintenance and updates
  • Implement methodologies and processes for reporting performance metrics
  • Communicate to leadership how current conditions on the floor can be optimized to improve production output
  • Communicate proactively and effectively with peers, customers and management Identify opportunities to optimize and integrate isolated systems and/or automate existing processes for efficiencies
  • Formulate and maintain MES procedures and documentation
About you
  • 5-7 years experience in a Process, CI or Operational/Manufacturing role, required
  • Experience in configuration management or data management roles as a system administrator for SAP, MRP or MES is required
  • Project Management leadership experience and the capability to drive initiatives without direct supervision
  • Experience in change management and problem solving through the use of strong quantitative, analytical, and process improvement methods
  • Exceptional organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; and basic IT related skillsets
  • Ability to utilize analytical tools and common office software .Basic experience with data analytics tools, data visualization tools (Power BI / Tableau /Qlickview / SSRS / Minitab / Excel ), (IP21 / Honeywell / OSI PI / Wonderware), Basic experience with MES systems (Rockwell / Simatic / Wonderware / Apriso is a plus
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

Physical Requirement
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time on concrete floor
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Long periods of computer usage; finger dexterity and hand movement for use of keyboard and mouse, repetitive motion
  • Kneel, squat, bend, stoop; frequently
  • Push/pull up to 50 lbs using assisted equipment
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs, frequently
  • Must be able to work in a variety of conditions and temperatures
  • Noise level can exceed .85 decibels
