Duties

The Continuity Analyst provides routine analytical support to the Chief, Intelligence Coordination and Continuity Programs on issues and activities related to Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning and emergency management coordination. Assists with the coordination of technical operations relating to planning, training, and exercises to assess the readiness, reliability, and continuity of Board essential functions and mission critical operations so that they are less vulnerable to disruptions or attack and can be readily reconstituted to reestablish vital capabilities. Provides analytical support for policy, planning, and coordination activities.

Responsibilities

Requires knowledge of the principles and scope of continuity planning in the development and implementation of policies, plans, and procedures necessary for effective inter/intra-agency coordination. Knowledge of the development of continuity programs acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in government, public safety, crisis management, national security affairs or other relevant fields from an accredited college or university. Equivalent experience can also be acquired through military service and/or assignment with federal, state, local, or non-profit emergency management organization.

Conditions of Employment

Must have a current Top Secret security clearance based on the Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), as the position requires access to sensitive compartmented information to perform the assigned duties. May review highly classified information, including national security and intelligence materials.

Works in a typical office environment, however, in support of continuity operations, may need to deploy immediately to an austere alternate facility in an all-hazards/all threats environment.

Qualifications

FR-24, requires a minimum of three (3) years' experience within the general field of Federal or Board operations or in continuity planning. Experience in the development and implementation of policies, plans, and procedures necessary for effective inter/intra-agency coordination of federal continuity programs, including at least one (1) year experience in specialized areas of emergency management (e.g. COOP, continuity of government planning, national security emergency preparedness, disaster recovery, business resumption, impact analysis, etc.).

FR-25, requires a minimum of five (5) years' experience within the general field of crisis management and planning in the development and implementation of policies, plans, and procedures necessary for effective inter/intra agency coordination of federal crisis management programs. This can include at least two (2) years' experience in specialized areas of crisis management (e.g. COOP, continuity of government planning, national security emergency preparedness, disaster recovery, business resumption, impact analysis, etc.).

FR-26, requires a minimum of seven (7) years' experience within the general field of crisis management and planning in the development and implementation of policies, plans, and procedures necessary for effective inter/Intra-agency coordination of federal crisis management programs, including at least three (3) years' experience in specialized areas of emergency management (e.g. COOP, continuity of government planning, intelligence analysis, national security emergency preparedness, disaster recovery, business resumption, business impact/risk analysis, etc.).

FR-27, requires a minimum of nine (9) years' experience within the general field of emergency management and planning in the development and implementation policies, plans, and procedures necessary for effective inter/intra-agency coordination of federal crisis management programs, including at least four (4) years' experience in specialized areas of emergency management (e.g. COOP, continuity of government planning, national security emergency preparedness, disaster recovery, business resumption, impact analysis, etc.).

Education
