The Team and the Role:
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport Division (NUWCDIVKPT) Detachment Pacific (Code 04/TDC) functions as NUWC’s forward presence in the Middle Pacific, Guam, and Western Pacific (WESTPAC) providing Detachment/Site Management in accordance with the Commanding Officer's (CO) letter of delegated authority to provide for program management, planning, policy, and execution of assigned programs and facility operations at the Detachment; monitor Safety and Occupational Health (SOH), physical and information security, personnel administration, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and professional development and morale, environmental compliance, appropriate interaction with all levels of Government and public affairs functions, site and area coordination for emergency preparedness, facilities management and space utilization, site material readiness, proper use of Government equipment and proper expenditure of funds, and adherence to good management practices and controls; manage the Detachment/On-Site Office (OSO); perform Navy programs duties under authority; manage military personnel allowance in accordance with Navy regulations, including Article 15 authority (non-judicial punishment); and serve as the Command's representative to the local installation CO or facility host in negotiating for utilities, security services, and facility maintenance. Divisions supported within this task are Hawaii Fleet Test and Operational Assessment Division (Code 24), Pearl Harbor Torpedo Division (Code 34), and Fleet Technical Support Division (Code 45).
Reporting to the Vice President/Program Manager, the Computer Operator IV will support the Detachment providing specialized technical support for computers, servers, and networks, to include technical support to end-user notifications of systems outages or problems on computer systems, VOIP phones, networks, wide area connectivity, software applications, peripherals, and scanners on the Hawaii Detachments Support Services contract. This position is located in Ford Island, HI.

What You'll Do:
- Manage network and server infrastructure: Utilizing software, hardware, and automation to increase efficiency and productivity.
- System administration
- Build and configure scripts in PowerShell (and etc) to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Tier I – III network and customer support
- Using tools (maybe wrong word) like: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Print server & Services, WSUS(Windows Server Update Services), NTP Server, Nutanix application administration, Quantum Storage servers & library systems, CISCO Switches, Computer imaging and maintenance, McAfee products,
- System wide upgrades of software and devices
- Engineer, manage, and implement network & server infrastructure.
- Research, design, and introduce new and developing technologies to the network.
- Perform backup and recovery operations.
- Maintain activity logs, provide period status to end-user, and track incidents to closure.
- Notify systems owners and users of system outage and provide periodic status until problem is resolved.
- Liaison with organization's corporate help desk on troubleshooting of failures and escalating issues that cannot be addressed locally on corporate IT systems.
- Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.
- Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
- Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access.
- Bid and proposal support if requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- HS Diploma required.
- At least two (2) years of experience supporting information technology, system administration, hardware, and software support in unclassified environments.
- Current Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) certification at the journeyman level to qualify for a Privileged Access Account.
- Must possess the following certifications at time of hire:
- CompTIA Security+.
- Windows 10 OS certification.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Desired Qualifications:
- Three (3) or more years of experience supporting information technology, system administration, hardware, and software support in unclassified environments desired.
- CCNA certification is desired.
- Associates and/or bachelor’s degree. Experience with Government or Military correspondence and office work is desired.
