The Life Properties is growing! We are adding an Assistant Community Manager to the team! As the Assistant Community Manager, you will be work closely with and assist the Community Manager in all aspects of management, including administrative and financial duties. You will be responsible for embodying and working to reinforce The Life Properties’ Core Values.

Olive Tree executes a value-add strategy to renovate the asset and improve the quality of on-site staff, thereby driving significant NOI growth for the asset. The Life Properties then takes over the acquisition and focuses on site management at each location.

What your day to day will look like:

• Assist in developing a high performing on-site team
• Adhere to values of The Life Properties
• Collects and posts rent payments, processes late payments, issues late notices to residents, and initiates the eviction process when needed
• Assists the manager with financial and operational reporting
• Reviews all leases for accuracy and maintains all current and previous resident files
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of market and competing properties
• Inspects property common areas, apartment units and grounds on a regular basis
• Handle resident inquiries quickly and empathetically
• Oversees office and maintenance staff, ensuring that all resident requests or inquiries are handled with professionalism and urgency
• Inputs daily resident information from walk-in traffic, move-ins, move-outs, apartment conditions, etc
• Be compliant with fair housing laws and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

What you will need to succeed:

• High school diploma/GED; Bachelors preferred
• 1+ years of multi-family experience required
• Affordable Housing experience a plus
• Bookkeeping skills/experience required
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) credential strongly preferred
• Understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations
• Excellent communication skills
• Top notch customer service and leadership skills
• Yardi experience preferred
