Job description
Under general supervision, with some latitude for independent initiative, the selected candidate will perform various functions assisting with the coordination of Resident Watch activities. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Conduct outreach to NYCHA residents to increase participation in the Resident Watch Program.
2. Conduct inspections of Resident Watch patrols in buildings where there is an active Resident Watch.
3. Conduct time sensitive risk assessments at each NYCHA development and coordinate, document, and provide recommendations in the assessment process.
4. Assist in the key fob distribution at all NYCHA developments slated for layered access upgrades.
5. Assist in training new Resident Watch supervisors.
6. Organize and attend meetings; write detailed minutes and progress reports regarding recruitment of new Resident Watch volunteers.
7. Assist with planning and implementation of Resident Watch events.
8. Prepare and maintain program records, written reports, daily and monthly statistics.
9. Assist with coordinating timely and accurate submission of time and attendance documents for part-time employees.
10. Conduct regular audits of program files to ensure compliance with guidelines and protocol.
11. Attend staff meetings, training sessions and community meetings as required.
12. Work with NYCHA Security and NYPD on various safety initiatives.
13. Conduct regular guard inspections throughout the five boroughs.
14. Perform daily office operational tasks.

Minimum Qual Requirements

Qualification Requirements
1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.

Preferred Skills

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
