The Opportunity

Boston Bruins is hiring a Communications Specialist to join our team at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Communications Specialist, you will work with the PR Manager to create and execute an annual strategic PR and communications plan to position TD Garden as the place to visit and a resource for media.

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Salary: $49800 - $66100 / year

Responsibilities

  • Organize media events, pitching stories and events to the press to generate publicity, resulting in attendance to TD Garden.
  • Fulfill day-to-day needs of media, community relations, and public relations.
  • Partner with the PR Manager to create and execute annual strategic public relations and communications plan.
  • Ensure that public relations and marketing materials are written in a professional and timely manner.
  • Supervise the fulfillment of requests for charity ticket donations, special charity events, scholarship requests, non-profit partner coordination, and Boston Bruins scholarships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in PR, communications, marketing, or related subject required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in PR, communications, journalism, or related field.
  • Familiar with the Associated Press Stylebook for written materials.
  • Organized and has a thorough approach to work and able to work effectively.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
