Job Summary: Local commercial general contractor looking for a construction Field Superintendent to oversee sitework, concrete, masonry, carpentry crews and subcontractors on projects ranging from $5M to $15M. Construction superintendent duties include, but are not limited to, supervising the field construction of a project, including its organization, planning and scheduling in order to ensure that self-performed and subcontracted work is in compliance with contract documents and project schedule in a quality manner.

• Manage and make decisions related to the performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, quality control and project staffing.
• Oversee all work activities to ensure materials and quality are in accordance with contract documents and approved submittals.
• Maintain daily paperwork such as timecards and field reports.
• Review and understand detailed construction drawings.

Qualifications/Requirements: Minimum of 10 years commercial construction experience working as a superintendent.

• Must have experience working for a general contractor on projects ranging from 5-15 million.
• Preferred experience in K-12, State University Construction Fund (SUCF) and/or Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) projects located in NY State preferred.
• Experience scheduling work, materials, manpower, Subcontractor’s, and equipment.

Thorough knowledge and understanding drawings, specifications, construction means, methods and materials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
