Job Title: CNC Mill Technical Lead
Department: Production

C , A70001_1876_0Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out CNC Mill technical responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, improving, and assisting with technical issues at work.

Summary Gives technical assistance on machining operations, requiring specialized training and experience in CNC mills by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

• Examines and inspects machined components produced to determine if items meet specifications.
• Gives input on production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to ensure proper mill setups and efficiency.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet standard rates.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
• Sets up CNC mill machines and other equipment as required.
• Ensures CNC programs are available and ready for use.
• Assists in continuous improvement activities.
• Ensures technical issues are resolved in the mill department.
• Assists in adjusting CNC programs.
• Assist with planning and scheduling of proper machines for production.
• Performs activities of workers supervised.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
