CNC Turning & Machine Operator
NTN Driveshaft, a world leader in constant velocity technology for the automotive industry. In our Columbus operation and customer demand for our product is growing rapidly. NTN Driveshaft manufactures Constant Velocity Joints (CVJs) for all of the major automotive companies. These customers include Honda, Ford, Toyota, GM, Chrysler and most other automotive OEMs.
Job Requirements:
Prefer candidates with one or more years’ experience as a CNC lathe or machining center operator, self-motivated, demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, outstanding attendance record, and enjoy a fast-paced work environment. Must possess an innate drive to excel, and be able to work any shift. Must be able to work weekend overtime as required.
- One year minimum experience operating a CNC lathe and or machining center responsible for loading parts, inspecting parts, changing offsets and tooling.
- Must be able to read and interpret piece part drawings and make decisions regarding part quality and offset changes.
- Must have experience using measuring tools such as drop indicators, dial bore gauges, plug gauges and calipers.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment running multiple production lines.
- Willing to perform light preventative maintenance on equipment during the shift.
- Must be able to lift 12-20 lbs. on a regular basis for an 8-12 hour period.
- Must be able to stand for an entire 8-12 hour shift.
Job Expectations:
Machine Operations – Check specs, load/unload production lines, use measurement tools, 100% manual inspection of parts, and change/adjust production tooling, completion of production paperwork. Additional Duties – Daily preventative maintenance, remove and dispose of chips/shavings, replenish fluids/lubricants, and 5S cleaning responsibilities.
