Position Overview:
Works with office patients under the supervision of professional clinical staff.
Essential Functions:
- Assists the RN's, LPN's, and other professional staff in the office to provide patient care.
- Assists with calling patients to notify of follow up regarding office procedures and plans.
- Assists the professional staff in rooming patients:
- Take vital signs and weigh patients
- Perform ECG on selected patients
- Other duties as directed by professional staff in scope of practice
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring patients may involve lifting up to fifty (50) pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds. Ability to sit and stand for long periods. Fine motor skills. Visual acuity. Computer competency required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Certification in the State of Colorado following completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant course.
Training and Experience: Certified Nursing Assistant course. BCLS required on hire.
Job Knowledge: Encompass a range of technical and supportive functions which include communication, problem solving, beginning patient assessment, and prioritizing tasks.
