Enquizit is seeking Cloud Engineers who will be responsible for application and infrastructure deployment, monitoring and performance in AWS cloud and on-premises datacenters. Additionally, this role will assist in migrating applications and infrastructure to AWS following appropriate migration patterns and using scripting and automation tools. The individual must be capable of working in a fast-paced Agile environment and working cooperatively within a multi-functional team.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure in AWS using scripting and Infrastructure -as-Code tools
- Improve cost and efficiency of existing infrastructure in AWS using auto-scaling and dynamic provisioning of resources
- Analyze system performance, resource utilization and troubleshoot any issues.
- Plan and execute large scale on-prem to AWS migrations using Lift-and-Shift and Re-platform methods
- Use automation scripts and tools to improve efficiency and reliability of migration process
- Implement repeatable solutions and automation for commonly faced tasks and problems.
- Implement and maintain network connectivity between within AWS and with on-prem network.
- Build golden AMIs periodically based on the requirements
- Implement and maintain security controls as per client’s requirements
- Keep applications and infrastructure in cloud and on-premises environment up to date by applying latest updates and patches
- Scan infrastructure and applications periodically to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities and issues
- Create and maintain documentation/runbooks for system configuration, processes and procedures to efficiently operate a system
Qualifications and Skills:
- B.S degree in Computer Science or equivalent through combination of education and work experience
- 5+ years of engineering experience with 3+ years in managing infrastructure in AWS
- Nice to have AWS certification
- Strong Expertise with Amazon Web Services like EC2, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudFront, VPC, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, Beanstalk, Lambda, etc.
- Expertise in Linux and Windows administration
- An understanding of core network protocols and services (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, REST/SOAP, FTPS/SFTP, DNS, SSL, firewalls, load balancers)
- Good scripting skills using python and bash
- Application and services deployment experience on EC2, ECS, EKS and AWS Fargate for different tech stacks
- Ability to implement Lambda Functions to automate AWS resource provisioning, management, and other automation tasks
- Experience with implementing network connectivity using Direct Connect, VPN and Transit Gateway
- Strong understanding of AWS Best Practices to host secure and scalable workloads in multi-account AWS Landing Zone and Hybrid environments
- Experience with configuration Management tools (Salt/Puppet/Chef)
- Experience troubleshooting security, performance and availability issues and monitoring workloads running in AWS
