We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to teach Certified Nurse Aide classes and provide various types of education for the community staff.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Nurse Educator will teach CNA Certification Classes at Grace Rehabilitation and Health Center throughout the year to include 120 hours of classroom and clinical training preparing students to take the PA State Nurse Aide Certification Exam. Additionally, the Clinical Nurse Educator will Works with all administrative staff in coordinating continuing education for all employees to meet regulatory requirements, regulations and organizational strategic goals, and ensure the highest quality of care for the residents. Applicants must have a valid RN license.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach CNA Classes to new student’s throughout the year to include theory, lab, clinical and testing and provide remediation as needed.
• Maintain compliance with the Department of Education.
• Provide new nursing staff and visiting student orientation, ongoing nurse education and Dementia Training.
• Provide In-services, training and education for non-clinical staff as needed.
• Provide CPR training and other emergency training.
• Design, implement, evaluate and revise educational programs.
• Stay up to date with best practices for standard of care.
• Maintain educational records, nursing policies and procedures.
• Train and coach mentors and maintain mentor records.
• Plan events/presentations to include scheduling, set up, program and refreshments.
• Provide occasional coverage for the evening, night and holiday supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have Train the Trainer certification, or be able to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Must be a current Registered Nurse without limitations.
• Prefer two years RN nursing experience with at least one year nursing experience in Long Term Care.
• CNA Class Instructor credentials and or experience in education or staff development preferred.
• Must be creative, competent, resilient and fair.
• Must have excellent communication skills and high level interpersonal, leadership skills.
