DIVISIONS AND JOB FUNCTIONS

Asset Management Division provides institutional and individual investors with investment and advisory solutions, with strategies spanning asset classes, industries, and geographies. We help our clients navigate today’s dynamic markets, and identify the opportunities that shape their portfolios and long-term investment goals. We extend these global capabilities to the world’s leading pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, central banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, individuals and family offices. The Asset Management Division also invests in corporate equity and corporate debt, real estate equity, and real estate debt and infrastructure worldwide. Additionally, we provide asset management services to investments where Goldman Sachs has an interest. Consisting of hundreds of professionals in multiple offices around the world, our business operates on a global platform.

  • Alternative Investments & Manager Selection (AIMS) provides investors with investment and advisory solutions, across leading hedge fund managers, private equity funds, real estate managers, public equity strategies fixed income strategies and environmental, social and governance integrated and impact investments. The AIMS Group manages globally diversified programs, targeted sector-specific strategies, customized portfolios, and a range of advisory services. Our investors access opportunities through new fund commitments, fund-of-fund investments, strategic partnerships, secondary market investments, co-investments, and seed-capital investments.
  • Client Solutions and Capital Markets team combines our Client Business and ACMS groups to engage with clients worldwide regarding the full range of GSAM’s investment products and services. Our focus is on building and maintaining long-term client relationships and communicating key themes from the firm’s leading investment professionals. Client Solutions and Capital Markets provides investment solutions across all major asset classes (e.g., fixed income, equities and alternatives) and products including mutual funds, ETFs, separate accounts and alternative investments.

Personal Financial Management (PFM) specializes in creating personalized wealth management plans for affluent individuals and families. We give clients clarity, confidence, and control over their financial decisions. Our dedicated team of advisors across approximately 100 offices throughout the U.S., develops and implements personalized plans tailored to each client's values and life goals. Our advisors offer an investment platform inclusive of products and services offered by Goldman Sachs and other third parties, including private banking and lending offerings. We consider the relationships with our clients a lifelong partnership, a partnership backed by over 150 years of Goldman Sachs providing consistency, perspective and access as our clients’ needs evolve.

  • A Personal Financial Management Professional provides consistent positive client experience including working with the team to ensure all commitments are completed and followed through in a timely manner. This requires a pro-active approach and ability to independently carry out the duties. The ideal candidate should exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, good judgment, and ability to take initiative. The ability to effectively manage time and multi-task with attention to detail is critical to this role.

Private Wealth Management (PWM) secures, develops and manages relationships with high net worth individuals, their families, family offices and foundations. PWM assists clients with building and preserving their financial wealth by creating and implementing long-term asset allocation within the context of each client’s particular risk tolerance, and by providing access to innovative investment ideas and opportunities. PWM professionals develop customized investment strategies and offer a full array of wealth management products and services, including private banking and trust company services.

  • A Wealth Management Professional provides client service management support to our clients and operational support to sales teams in the implementation of new client accounts, trade execution, liquidity management, and ongoing maintenance of existing clients. How you will fulfill your potential:
    • Leverage your operational background and experience to contribute to a growing business
    • Work closely with Private Wealth Advisors to support their PWM clients
    • Identify opportunities for and coordinate wealth advisory services within client base
    • Manage advisory business implementation and re-balancing
    • Manage cash balances and private banking services in accounts
    • Serve as a key liaison to other areas supporting the PWM Business
    • Plan and manage new account on boarding process
    • Provide overview of client reporting and web capabilities to potential new clients
    • Execute, process and reconcile trading and other investment related transactions

  • Family Office provides sophisticated solutions to streamline the intricate financial lives of ultra-high net worth families, through comprehensive coordination, advanced risk management, investment services and legacy preservation strategies.
  • Wealth Strategies Group specializes in the design and implementation of wealth protection and wealth transfer strategies for high net-worth clients.
  • Private Wealth Management provides investment-advisory, education, portfolio-management, and trade-execution strategies. Analysts serve as key liaison between clients, investment, and operations teams.

Operations is at the core of Goldman Sachs. For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that enables business to flow. The Operations business partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation. Operations span all product lines and markets.

  • Markets Operations provides client onboarding support, post-trade transaction services and post-trade portfolio services for the Markets business. Our Client Coverage Group manages key client relationships to enhance the client experience front to back. We support the FICC and Equities businesses to develop and deliver new products, services and markets.
  • Wealth Management Operations conducts service, delivery and processing functions for the Ultra High Net Worth, High Net Worth and Mass Affluent businesses and we provide front-to-back operational support across the trade and client lifecycle.
  • Transaction Banking focuses on managing the end-to-end client journey for direct corporate clients on the transaction baking digital payments platform.

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $70000 - $130000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (2019 – June 2023)
  • 0-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant field.
  • Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
