A Client Partner (CP) is someone who can interact with a client, talk openly, casually, and confidently with them about how ARRO can address their operational challenges The CP will develop concepts from a simple statement made in a client meeting to a full proposal and be persistent enough to move it from talking point to purchase order. This is a person who can also resolve client issues and navigate situations through open discussion and problem-solving skills to come away with a plan and stronger client relationships. The CP should also be able to collaborate with various sized project teams across multiple projects to empower them, support them, and coach them to meet client expectations. This is a person who understands business and the nuances and challenges of selling a technical solution and product.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Clients and Solutions, the Client Partner will coordinate with company and client leadership in the following areas:

Generation of $3 to $5 million in sales annually:

  • Acquire and develop long-term relationships with new and existing clients
  • Develop a broad industry network of clients and contacts through local organizations, speaking engagements, and one-on-one networking
  • Responsible for completing successful proposal development and contract negotiations
  • Provide oversight of project execution (a project manager will be assigned to each project)
  • Responsible for client retention and growth
  • Provide technology innovation and leadership to help guide clients in technology or management consulting options
  • Identify additional business opportunities within target accounts
  • Provides oversight for each project contract, statements of works, and change order requests
  • Provide oversight on project profit and loss, plus risks and opportunities that impact profit
  • Provides oversight on monthly progress reporting of revenue to budget forecast
  • Supports effective staffing levels for each client

Required Skills and Abilities

Primary Skills

  • Sales experience with state government entities selling a product and/or service is highly preferred
  • A willingness to learn
  • Some experience in supporting or leading sales within an IT organization or management consulting organization
  • Capable of developing lead generation strategies and marketing plans for new accounts
  • Demonstrated strong client relationship skills and strong executive presence
  • Strong sense of customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work well with limited supervision
  • Must be comfortable working in the eastern time zone.

Secondary Skills

  • Proven ability to oversee pursuit opportunities to successful completion, multi-task, and work within tight deadlines
  • Ability to lead a team effectively and provide direction to other members on the team
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis

Educational Requirements

College degree preferred
