Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Insurance and Risk Management, the Claims Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing company's Workers Compensation and assisting with management of Liability Claims. Duties include oversight and management of Third-Party Claims Administrator and claims adjusters as well as other claim and insurance related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Create and develop relationships and effective communication with company management, employees, claim adjusters, insurers, legal counsel, safety team, and other claims related parties.
• New Claims intake and reporting.
• Reporting, investigation, and analysis of claims.
• Management of claim litigation and complex claims.
• Manage resolution and outcomes and provide settlement authority in accordance with company claims policies and procedures.
• Ensure that department project/department milestones and goals are met.
• Preparation of departmental reports and analysis.
• Manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related area or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in adjusting WC and Liability Claims.
• Current Adjuster License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Claims Supervisory experience.
• Excellent math skills, including statistical analysis.
• Highly organized; superior time management skills.
• Exceptional communication skills both written and oral.
• Self-motivated; self-starter; extroverted personality.
• Work well with all levels of the corporation.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel
• Frequently lifts up to 10 lbs.
• Long periods spent sitting at desk in front of computer screen.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in an office environment.
