Position Summary: The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for directing all the operations, people and functions of the organization directly relating to in-restaurant performance. The COO will also be responsible for being aware of policies, practices, and trends within the industry. Provide executive team participation and leadership to Operations Directors, District Managers, General Managers while leading execution of the strategic operations plan.

Essential Functions:
  • Serve as the key leader of execution and strategy for field operations.
  • Supervise Vice President’s of Operations for each geographical region.
  • Supervise Operations Support Services, field training, field IT and field recruiting.
  • Bridge a strong relationship between management and field operations staff by creating a culture built on the values of Fourteen Foods.
  • Consult with other executives and managers as appropriate.
  • Directly involved with all goal setting, operations procedures and practices.
  • Establishes credibility throughout the organization to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues.
  • Creates development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Develops appropriate programs for effective management of the operations resources of the organization. Included in this area would be programs for retention, quality, service, speed, etc.
  • Maintains knowledge of multi-state operations best-practices and new trends and ideas within the industry and coordinates the integration of such programs.
  • Assumes responsibility for implementation of company guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Provides technical advice and knowledge to others within the operations area.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
  • This job requires frequent travel and remote management.
  • Longer hours, evenings and weekend work may be necessary.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related area.
  • 15+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in Operations management and leadership in multi-state field operations development is required.
  • Experience in a variety of Operations fields and skills.
