We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team.

Description:

The Medical Assistant assists in the delivery of care to our patients in the setting of a busy, fast paced practice.

This is a float position between back office (clinical) and front office (reception).

The clinical responsibilities include: performing and/or assisting with clinical procedures (vitals, blood glucose, urine albumin, retina scans), pend orders, report/record critical test results, and perform assigned patient care in support of services provided to patients within the practice. In addition, s/he will administer test substances, download CGM systems and insulin pumps, stock exam rooms, and enter external lab/imaging results into the EMR (Allscripts Touchworks).

In the administrative role, the Medical Assistant performs insurance and authorization verificatio, updates patient demographics, routes information to EHR (Allscripts Touchworks), audits billing documents, oversees co-pay collection, cash drawer, and CC terminal and functions as a hub both for our patients as well as for referring practices.

Requirements:

Education: Certified MA (Required)

Skill: Knowledge of medical practice, care, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures. Knowledge of medical equipment, instruments and safety procedures. Knowledge of medical office procedures.

Experience:

MA minimum 2 years with at least 6 months experience in a front desk setting.

Familiarity with diabetes technology (pumps, cgm, downloads) is greatly appreciated.

Must have computer (MS Office, Google Drive) and EMR experience and excellent communication skills.

Organizational talent, reliability, and a friendly demeanor are a must.

Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour
