LOCATION: This position will support the recruitment efforts within the NWTC district, primarily focusing on the northern region, including the counties of Marinette, WI and Menominee, MI. NWTC’s district includes all of Door, Florence, Kewaunee, Marinette, and Oconto counties, all but a small sliver of Brown County, the eastern half of Shawano County, and a very small part of Outagamie and Manitowoc counties.

STANDARD HOURS: Between the hours of 7:00 - 5:00p.m. supporting high school and community events. Evening & weekend coverage as needed.

SALARY RANGE: $57,761 - $64,179 per year

  • Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the role is to assist high school students as they explore careers, develop their career and higher education path, and promote NWTC as a college of choice. The position will develop 1:1 relationship with prospective students by assisting and guiding them throughout the application and enrollment process to ensure the student successfully transitions to post-secondary education.

(NWTC will not provide any commission, bonus, or other incentive payment based in any part, directly or indirectly, upon success in securing enrollments or awarding of federal financial aid, to any person or entity engaged in any student recruitment or admissions activity or in making decisions regarding the award of Title IV funds.)

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Use career coaching, and relationship building approaches to explore career and educational goals with prospective students.
  • Increase college and career readiness and match students with appropriate dual credit pathways, post-secondary programs, and transfer opportunities.
  • Plan, develop, and coordinate recruitment and sales events and activities for high schools, middle schools, parents, counselors, educators, and adults in various targeted markets, to generate FTE growth.
  • Act as the ‘face’ of NWTC by creating and conducting group presentations to promote the college within high schools at events and in classrooms. Speak publicly at events promoting NWTC pathways, on-campus events, and programs to audiences of all sizes.
  • Collaborate with Enrollment Services to review, analyze, and take action on admission and enrollment data to ensure students are enrolled in the appropriate program and courses, i.e., pre-program to program status, closing student records, etc.
  • Act as the primary student resource for the K12 market when completing the application to enrollment process.
  • Utilize CRM system to maintain record of customer interactions recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken.
  • Use data to develop strategic follow up communication plans with prospective students and measure quarterly FTE conversion rates.
  • Conduct strategic planning and develop new and innovative recruitment activities for all target markets, in alignment with the overall strategic goals of the College
  • Lead individual and group tours to promote NWTC to prospective students, families, and community members.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, or related field.

Position will be required to obtain Career Development Facilitator certification within 18 months of receiving position.

Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in marketing or customer relations fields. Experience in secondary and postsecondary educational setting preferred.

Computer Skills

Other Requirements

Ability to speak to large groups and general knowledge of technical college programs, admissions and recruiting techniques.

Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the District’s standard insurance policy terms.
