Job description
- Interviews, hires, and terminates all inmate canteen workers.
- Supervision of all canteen personnel; civilian back up and inmates.
- Supervises sales transactions through the canteen point of sale system.
- Ensures all adjustments are correctly processed.
- Maintains proper requisitioning, receipt, and storage of all canteens produced.
- Is responsible that policy and security procedures are followed to prevent loss of canteen product and equipment.
- Follows procedures to maintain proper inventory levels and ensures stock rotation.
- Supervises the daily reporting of sales and receipts to ensure they are accurate.
- Conducts daily, quarterly, and monthly inventories.
- Standard position hours may vary per institution.

A high school diploma and relevant program experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements: (Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
- A high school diploma with two (2) years of retail or grocery experience with a minimum of one (1) years as department manager or higher.
- Required experience in accounting, merchandising, inventory, loss prevention, ordering, shipping, and receiving.
