A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CANINE ENRICHMENT COUNSELOR / DOG TRAINER

As a Canine Enrichment Counselor / Dog Trainer, you are vital to the operations of our company! Your main priority is to provide a fun, challenging, growth-oriented environment for pets that cannot do traditional group play activities. You keep each animal active and engaged, both mentally and physically, during their boarding and daycare visits. You are prepared to learn and apply positive reinforcement training methods for our animals.

When customers bring their animals in, you discuss their pets with them to get an idea of their specific needs. As you work with each pet, you get to know them and their behavior and fine-tune your training methods and activities accordingly. You love working with animals every day and get great satisfaction from helping each dog!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CANINE ENRICHMENT COUNSELOR / DOG TRAINER

• 2+ years of experience in the pet care industry
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments
• Ability to work weekends and holidays

Dog training experience is preferred but not required. Are you patient? Can you stay calm and collected under pressure? Are you compassionate? Do you have excellent problem-solving skills? Are you a good communicator? If yes, you might just be perfect for this pet care position!
