Job Description Summary:
Vertex Energy, Inc is hiring for a temporary CAD Technician to work at our Cedar Marine Terminal in Baytown, TX. The ideal candidate will be a community college student that is familiar with CAD software. The work that is needed has been estimated to take approximately 400 hours to complete or 2-3 months.
Requirements:
- Be familiar with CAD software, preferably AutoCAD.
- Be familiar with PC based Microsoft operating system.
- Be able to communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- Be capable of working in the heat for 3 to 4 hours at a time wearing hard hat, safety glasses and steel toe leather boots.
- Be able to obtain a TWIC.
- Be capable of understanding and interpreting standard chemical manufacturing piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs).
- Be able to apply understanding and interpretation of standard chemical manufacturing P&IDs to generate and update in CAD.
- Be able to track time to supervisor.
- Be able to communicate challenges timely and clearly to supervisor.
- Be able to work unsupervised.
