Job Description
- CAD designer working with engineering under minimal supervision will generate design concepts, assembly and detail drawings, for fixtures, gages, tooling, and fabrications for machining centers and assembly machines.
- Duties and responsibilities of the individual in this position will include the following:
- Use concept sketches, Existing drawings, layouts, reverse engineering, and/or discussions to prepare detailed drawings for new designs and design improvements.
- Apply industry standards to drawings
- Maintain and update drawing files
- May include generating hydraulic/pneumatic/electric schematics, parts lists
- Provide leadership to lower level CAD operators
- Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities
- Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Will mainly utilize SoldiWorks with some ACAD 2D and Inventor.
Qualifications
- Requirements include a minimum of five years of related experience and/or training; an associate's degree in Computer-Aided-Design Technology.
- Candidates must also have working knowledge of Computer-Aided-Drafting software packages such as solid works or inventor.
