Sweetwater, the nation’s #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and music instruments is seeking to hire a Business Intelligence Developer. This role will leverage internal and external data to visualize the appropriate KPI’s, and deliver actionable insight that bring value to our stakeholders.

This is a full-time position located at our headquarters in Fort Wayne, IN. What you’ll do

• Work with stakeholders to learn business objectives in order to establish appropriate KPI’s
• Partner with analytic engineers and data engineers to source, clean, & transform necessary data
• Build cards and dashboards to tell a story with data, using clear and concise visualization
• Be a consumer of the reports, monitor them and know when trends shift
• Perform exploratory data analysis to correlate business drivers with shifts in KPI’s

What you'll need to succeed

• 2+ years of experience in BI Development
• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science
• Experience in a BI tool is required (DOMO, Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, MicroStrategy, etc.)
• Knowledgeable in SQL is critical, Python/R is a plus
• Natural curiosity with a strong business acumen (retail preferred)
• Ability to work fast and accurately, but with an openness to try new things & fail – constantly iterating
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
• Solid organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects easily while meeting deadlines
• Strong communication skills with an ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
• Ability to handle sensitive data in a confidential manner
