Burn Table Operator – Grove City, PA

Hall Technical Services LLC is currently looking for a full-time qualified Burn Table Operator. The position is in Grove City, PA

Burn Table Operator Responsibilities include but not limited:

• Operate overhead crane to load, unload and position material using lifting magnets, chains and/or straps.
• Operate computer panel of machine to set machine and obtain product specifications. Must be able to utilize existing programs as well as create new programs for unique jobs.
• Study blueprints, layouts, sketches, and/or travelers to assess product specifications and to determine tooling instructions, tools and materials needed, and sequences of operations.
• Select and install cutting tools and other accessories according to specifications, using hand tools and/or power tools.
• Select cutting speeds, feed rates, and depths of cuts, applying knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics.
• Compute dimensions, tolerances, and angles of steel products or machines, according to specifications and knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics.
• Verify alignment of product on machines, using measuring instruments such as rules, gauges, or calipers.
• Move controls to set cutting specifications, to position cutting tools and products in relation to each other, and to start machines.
• Remove products from machines, and check to ensure that they conform to specifications, using measuring instruments such as microscopes, gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
• Make templates or cutting tools as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines as required/requested.

Burn Table Operator Qualifications:

• 2 years’ experience in operating a burn table
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/shop drawings

Burn Table Operator Desired Skills

· Well Organized

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Must have a strong attention to detail

· Mechanical Aptitude

· Ability to manage multiple projects

Ability to commute/relocate:

Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
