Overview:
Responsible for assisting physicians and staff with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks.
Responsibilities:
Safety
- Manages processes effectively in regard to employee/patient safety.
Record Keeping
- Maintains all required records, reports, statistics, logs, files and other documents as required.
Process Improvement
- Promotes a culture of process improvement by participating in unit/department based programs that supports the system’s process improvement goals.
- Actively participates on system-wide or hospital-based teams as needed.
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management.
- Collects patient history and performs registration and eligibility verification as required, ensuring that all required documentation is present.
- Identifies ICD-10 diagnosis and utilizes ABN software as required
- Performs office reception and billing duties correctly.
- Secures and stocks supplies and notifies the appropriate team member if stock is low.
- Assist patients with any questions in an appropriate manner and refer to other staff members/management as needed.
- Assist team members as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- BLS certification
- COVID Vaccination
