Duties/Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Maintain vendor/invoice files
• Post invoices
• Maintain job costing records and assist with construction draws
• Post and reconcile credit card transactions

Accounts Receivable

• Reconcile Point of Sale data to general ledger postings daily
• Report and remit sales tax in accordance with state and local regulations

General Ledger Maintenance

• Post transactions to accounting software via modules, journal entries and/or import tools

Account Reconciliations

• Assist with periodic bank and loan reconciliations
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Basic accounting skills
• Basic bookkeeping skills
• Comfortable using Excel and manipulating spreadsheets to facilitate importing data into accounting software; proficient in Outlook and Word
• Comfortable organizing and maintaining hard copy and electronic filing systems
• Must be team oriented, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information and records appropriately

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; or extensive bookkeeping and accounting experience preferred
• Construction industry experience a plus
