Position Summary:

As a Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant, you will be a key part of every transaction that happens at Sunflower Real Estate! A great candidate for this position will be able to multi-task well, often bouncing between projects and tasks to ensure all deadlines are hit. You will be in charge of the company books, working closely with one of the company owners to ensure accurate records are kept to make tax season a breeze. You will be involved in the purchasing process of every property we buy, ensuring that all tasks needed to successfully close a property are completed.

This is a full time position with room for growth in the company. This position can be work-from-home for 75% or more of the time after initial training period.

Essential Functions:

Bookkeeping

  • Monitoring and categorizing company transactions with QuickBooks and YNAB
  • Maintaining accurate records of renovation budgets for properties
  • Creating Tax Organizer documents to assist CPA on Company Taxes
  • Creating income and expense reports to make critical business decisions

Administrative Assistant

  • Schedule outgoing wires & confirming incoming wires
  • Paying contractors
  • Scheduling deliveries
  • Starting/Stopping utilities on properties
  • Binding & canceling insurance policies on properties
  • Ordering office supplies and other materials as needed.
  • Assisting with administrative needs across the company as needed.

Minimum Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Associate or Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Preferred 4+ years of experience accounting/bookkeeping
  • Minimum 2 years required of experience accounting/bookkeeping
  • Prefer 2+ years administrative assistant experience
  • Experience with YNAB (You Need A Budget) is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with Gusto is preferred
  • Knowledge and practical experience regarding intermediate computer skills, including Google Drive, Slack, Podio, Excel, Gmail, and general cloud based softwares.
  • Must have experience with Quickbooks
  • Must be Detail oriented, accurate, critical thinker, self-starter is expected, information / record management skills. Attention to detail, follow-up, and follow-through.
  • Good organizational skills and time management skills, with demonstrated success in a multi-task environment.
  • Must have strong communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
