As a Biorepository Technician we are looking for someone who will be a vital link between internal Customer Service and the Clinical Lab personnel. The Biorepository Technician is responsible for verifying patient data for laboratory testing. The Biorepository Technician has demonstrated a good understanding of laboratory and documentation workflow. In addition to the primary role of data verification, there will be a need to provide support in initiating and investigating non-conformance reports. It is imperative that the Biorepository Technician have demonstrated the ability to work independently, but also function effectively as a member of the Guardant Health team. The nature of the work requires excellent attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi-task and be flexible with tasks and schedules, and the ability to work independently in a team environment.

As part of the Biorepository Team, you will be responsible for:

  • Follow HIPAA regulations
  • Verify patient data in the LIMS database
  • Support the administrative functions as required
  • Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications
  • Assist with training of new laboratory personnel and training of new procedures with existing personnel
  • Respond to emails between departments to resolve issues and/or provide appropriate escalation

Qualifications


If you are a dedicated Biorepository Technician with the following experience who holds:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science in Biomedical Laboratory Science, Clinical Science, or related field preferred
  • Previous laboratory work experience with data entry
  • Well versed in supporting the clinical lab date entry, preferred
  • Knowledgeable of SCIENTIFIC AREA OF a Clinical Lab
  • Familiar with documenting all corrective actions taken
  • Strong computing skills, especially databases
  • Dedicated to making a difference
  • Driven to make a positive impact in cancer diagnosis and treatment
  • Great communicator with great written and verbal fluency in English
  • Detailed oriented with an appetite to drive tasks to completion
  • Ability to work well in a rapid-pace startup environment
  • Ability to work well in a group
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.

Hybrid Work Model
: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Covid Vaccination Policy: Guardant Health requires all employees to be fully vaccinated. We follow the CDC guidelines for the definition of “fully vaccinated”, meaning an employee is consider fully vaccinated against COVID-19 after receiving the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccination, and necessary booster vaccines. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $16.88 to $26.15 USD. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).

For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the hourly range for this full-time position is $24.11 to $32.69 USD. The range does not include benefits and, if applicable, overtime, bonus, commission, or equity.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
