POSITION: Billing/Credentialing Specialist – RMC Physician Group

HOURS: Part-Time

JOB SUMMARY: The primary duty for this position is to submit claims to insurance payers accurately and timely. Other duties include billing secondary insurance, correcting denied claims in a timely manner, self pay collections and bad debt, separately billing Medicare and TN Care for a rural health facility and insurance credentialing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be a high school graduate – some college courses preferred.

2. A minimum of 2 years experience in a primary care practice billing and collections, hospital registration and/or business office.

3. Working knowledge of insurance payers along with their varying rules and regulations, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes and CPT codes preferred. Certified Biller/Coder preferred.

4. EMR experience required with knowledge of electronic claims flow through a clearinghouse.

5. Employee must be able to proficiently work on a computer and various software programs including Microsoft Office.

6. Must be able to multi-task and obtain a high level of organizational skills.

7. Must have excellent customer service skills, as you will be required to speak to patients about their account as well as insurance representatives regarding denied claims, credentialing, etc.

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Medical Office Billing: 3 years (Preferred)
• ICD coding: 3 years (Preferred)
