Position Overview

We have a wonderful Full-Time/Part-Time opportunity to join our Evoke Wellness Florida Operations team as a Behavioral Health Technician.

The primary function of this position is to provide a safe and structured environment for our clients, in a medical setting as they recover. The Behavioral Health Technician is also responsible for assisting other departments to help maintain the running of the facility.

Position Title: Behavioral Health Technician

Location: Evoke Wellness Detox. Miramar FL 33025

Reports To: Operations Manager

Department: Operations

Position Responsibilities

Performing Q’s (rounds) on clients.

Performing intakes on new clients.

Performing monitored UA and body searches.

Property searches.

Observe and report any issues observed.

Clear communication with Lead Behavioral Health Technician and Supervisors.

Conduct oneself with integrity and professionalism.

Assisting other departments with clients’ needs.

Other responsibilities as needed.

Position Requirements

Competencies

• Basic computer literacy.
• Demonstrates a proficiency in communication, observation, and written skills.
• Problem solving abilities.

Education & Work Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience a plus, but not necessary

Schedule

• 3 x 12.5 hour shifts (with opportunity for extra shifts when available)
• Shift times are 7:00am-7:30pm and 7:00pm-7:30am

Physical & Travel Demands

• Ability to work a 12 hour shift.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs.
• No travel demands

Preferred Requirements

Knowledge of Addiction and 12 Step Recovery Program

Valid Driver’s license and good driving record preferred, but not mandatory.

CPR First Aide certificate.
