• We are hiring immediately for a BARISTA (FULL-TIME) position.
• Location: 256 S Livingston Ave, Livingston NJ 07039
• Schedule: Full-time schedule. 6:00 am – 1pm, 1pm- 8:00pm: plus Saturday and Sunday 6:00 am - 8:00 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous barista experience preferred but not required.
• Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour

The barista greets the customers, takes their order, prepares the drinks and serves pastries, often assisted by a colleague at busier moments of the day.

The barista also prepares some of the drink bases & Syrups. Keeping the dining area & sugar station clean is also required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

- Strong social skills and a love to meet new people

- Ability to learn quickly

- The ability to stay calm and enjoy working in a fast and exciting environment

- Passion to learn new things and are able to pick up new skills quickly

- Ability to understand and follow verbal & written instructions, policies & rules

- Ability to perform basic math skills to accurately count money and make change

- Willingness and desire to work well with others to help create a strong and cooperative team

- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed

- Strong interpersonal skills

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

- Greeting all guests with a smile while taking food and drink orders, answering any questions, calling guests by name and thanking them for their order

- Preparing quality beverages and food products consistently to all guests adhering to recipe and presentation standards while also providing legendary service

- Staying calm during periods of high volume to keep the store operating properly and set a positive example for the team

- Operating a cash register and receiving payment from guests, while following customer service and cash handling policies and procedures

- Keeping the store clean, stocked, organized and decorates customer display areas

- Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge to enhance the culture, values and mission of the brand while following operational policies and procedures, including those for safety and security

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
