SALARY:

$85,000.00-$95,000.00/yr. BOE

WORK DESCRIPTION:

The General Manager is responsible for successfully managing all aspects of the station operation, directing and coordinating activities of workers engaged in providing services to customers and carrying out supervisory responsibilities per Company policies and applicable laws. The GM also responsible for interviewing, hiring and training new employees, managing work schedules, monitoring work performance, ordering supplies, and maintenance of equipment.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • The ability to communicate effectively in English with written and oral skills.
  • The Manager must be a self-starter and have the ability to use time management skills to maximize daily production.
  • Knowledge of safety/security operation, rules, regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • The ability to deal with multiple issues simultaneously in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
  • Ability to understand and implement air carrier, airport and government agencies requirements, policies and procedures.
  • Familiarization with Airport SOP’s
  • Knowledge and practical application of Quality Service Programs & Safety Management Systems.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop new business plans with capital requirements and anticipated performance; prepare the Station budget with insight for the capability of and opportunities for the station.
  • Increase daily, and monthly revenue of each station in the assigned region, reduce spending, labor, and significantly increase station profits.
  • Establish and direct workforce plan designed to meet future staffing needs with an emphasis on the professional development of internal candidates for promotion.
  • Ensure customers’ specifications and requirements are followed, all products and services are prepared and/or performed to the customers’ satisfaction. Develop and maintain excellent client relationships through periodic meetings at individual airports.
  • Develop current staff to work closely with customers’ management and front-line team members to increase productivity.
  • Build and cultivate relationships within the regional aviation community to procure new business.
  • Enforce compliance of operations personnel with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
  • Conduct oneself in such a way as to become the benchmark for the Company in integrity, fairness, safety-mindedness, personal attitude, and respect for others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Speak and understand English.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, 10-year background check (criminal/employment) and be able to obtain a required airport security clearance.
  • Must have a VALID Driver's License for at least 1 full year with a clean driving record. (License cannot have any restrictions).
  • Qualified applicants will have at least 5 years of experience in the aviation industry, directing the activities of 30+ employees.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed on airfield ramp (outside of aircraft), which is exposed to outdoor weather conditions (temperatures ranging from 20-105 degrees Fahrenheit) and elevated noise levels.

  • Occasional (1-3hrs): Driving, sitting, and climbing.
  • Frequent (4-6hrs): Bending, squatting/kneeling, pushing/pulling, twisting/turning, and repetitive movement.
  • Constant (7-8hrs): Standing, walking, and reaching.
  • Lifting 25-75 lbs. max with occasional lifting/carrying of objects up to 50 lbs.
