AutoCad Electrical Design Engineer

SUMMARY

As an AutoCAD® Electrical designer for National Bulk Equipment, Inc. (NBE), this individual will work directly with the mechanical engineering, project management, and sales teams to research and create electrical schematic and controls designs for the bulk material handling equipment and integrated systems designed, engineered, built, and installed by NBE. This individual must be able to simultaneously manage multiple projects of varied complexity and duration. This individual will report directly to the manager of control systems engineering. This position is based in Holland, Michigan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Must have one to three years of experience with AutoCAD Electrical.

· Electrical design and drawing experience with other than AutoCAD Electrical software may be considered; depending on relevance and experience level.

· Must have a good understanding of AC/DC electrical systems.

· Must have very good proficiency in Microsoft® Word, Excel, and Outlook®.

· Must have excellent attention to detail; combining an ability to identify the required elements of a project and the knowledge to ensure their proper inclusion.

· Experience in programmable logic controller (PLC) programming.

· Understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC®) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA®) code.

· Ability to understand pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A relevant degree or license in the electrical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public..

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as vector analysis, exponents, logarithms quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
