We’re looking to add an experienced Senior or Supervisor Public Accounting Auditor to our team in Canfield, OH! Ideal candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration and a minimum of 2-3 years of auditing experience at a public accounting firm. CPA preferred. Experience with Employee Benefit Plan and 401(k) Plan audits is a plus.

Primary duties include:

  • Prepare financial statements for clients
  • Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Develop audit objectives, plans, and scope by reviewing available information and conducting research
  • Help design, implement, and maintain internal audit procedures and risk assessment processes
  • Prepare audit findings, write audit reports, and develop recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable plans, policies, and standards
  • Stay current on industry trends, and best accounting and audit practice
  • Ensure accuracy of financial information
  • Follow up on audit recommendations
  • Review work done by staff or interns on selected projects
  • Assist in the development of other staff and interns

Candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of auditing experience at an experienced public accounting firm
  • CPA preferred
  • Possess good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft and Thomson Reuters applications
  • Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, strong ethics and business conduct
  • Ability to evaluate situations and modify behavior accordingly
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships through all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrates ability to take initiative and exercise time management skills
  • Delegate to others to provide growth and learning opportunities
  • Ability to network, build positive relationships and develop business
