Salary Information

Department Summary
The Interdisciplinary Art and Design Studies (IADS) program is housed within the College of Visual Arts and Design. Through its undergraduate degree, students are given the freedom to pursue “interdisciplinarity” as a field of academic inquiry, which allows students to discover diverse cultural discourse communities and opportunities for creative inquiry specific to their professional pursuits. Each student has the flexibility to chart their own course within the degree to explore aspects of art and design that interest them and are provided advising, mentorship, and professional guidance on career pathways that align with their professional goals.
The IADS BA offers three tracks: Arts Management, Design Management, and Open Track. The highlight of the program is its ability to prepare students to be leaders in the field of art and design with marketable skills in creative entrepreneurship, cultural humility and awareness, digital skills in communication, and social responsibility. The IADS degree, combined with a strategically chosen minor and an internship, provides students with an excellent preparation for careers in art- or design-related fields, including those in art law, non-profit arts organizations, digital image providers, galleries, instructional design, visual merchandising, and auction houses operations and sales.
